design

This hand-painted mural is a breathtaking blend of Renaissance-inspired artistry and surrealist whimsy, capturing the essence of a hopeful new chapter. The sky, rendered in soft pastel tones, evokes a sense of tranquility and timeless beauty, reminiscent of the grand ceilings of classical European chapels. Delicate cherubs, with their joyful expressions, frolic among the clouds, imbuing the scene with a sense of innocence and lightheartedness. Incorporating the ‘L'Amour et Psyché’ kissing cherubs by William Adolphe Bouguereau.

Oversized, dreamlike flowers emerge from the background, their vivid colours and exaggerated forms creating a surreal juxtaposition against the sky. These floral giants symbolize growth, renewal, and the beauty that can blossom even in the most unexpected places.

At the heart of the mural stands an orange tree, its branches laden with vibrant fruit. This tree is more than just a symbol of nature; it is a poignant tribute to a lost loved one, representing their enduring presence and the sweetness they brought into life. The orange tree also serves as a metaphor for resilience and the potential for new beginnings, anchoring the mural’s theme of moving forward with hope and positivity.

Overall, the mural is a harmonious composition of classical elegance and imaginative surrealism, a visual ode to healing, remembrance, and the promise of brighter days ahead.
